De I-Mate is een erg handig hulpmiddel (keypad) voor de Icom ic-7400, 756 pro serie, 7700 en 7800 transceivers. Met dit keypad kan je de opgenomen boodschappen (interne recorder van je transceiver) afspelen. Zonder dat je in het "recorder" menu hoeft te gaan! Superhandig voor contesten!

Daarnaast zit er een pulsgever (cw keyer) in welke tot 30wpm pulsen geeft voor bv het inregelen van je linear amplifier. Hiermee bespaar je de amplifier omdat je slechts op 50% duty cycle komt.

De stroom komt via de microfoon aansluiting van de Icom (dus geen extra stroomdraden)

Er zit een tweede microfoonaansluiting op voor bv een Heil Headset.

• Send memories in the Icom 756 ProII while keeping the spectrum scope on the display.

• Heil Pro-Set plugs directly into the i-Mate without the Heil adaptor.
• A separate PTT switch is provided to key the transceiver for digital modes.
• Auxiliary input can be used for digital modes.
• A switch (MIC 1) is provided for switching between the standard 8 pin mic connector and auxiliary input (MIC 2).
• "Tune" button is a pulsed oscillator (about 30 wpm) for tuning. Save finals in the amplifier, 50% duty cycle while tuning.
• The level of the pulsed oscillator can be adjusted with a small screwdriver.
